Creamy, herby, and bright—this lighter Green Goddess skips mayo and uses Greek yogurt for extra protein and freshness. Perfect for salads, bowls, wraps, or as a dip.

 Ingredients (Makes ~1¼ cups)

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled & pitted
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat for best texture)
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • ¼ cup fresh basil, packed
  • 2 tbsp chives or green onion
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 2–4 tbsp cold water (to thin)

 Instructions

  1. Blend: Add all ingredients (except water) to a blender or food processor.
  2. Smooth: Blend 30–60 seconds until creamy and bright green.
  3. Adjust: Add cold water, 1 tbsp at a time, until pourable.

 Q & A

Q: No blender—can I still make it?
Yes. Mash avocado well, finely chop herbs, and whisk (chunkier texture).

Q: Can I use dried herbs?
Fresh is best. If needed, use 1–2 tsp dried total (flavor will be milder).

Q: Why did it turn brown?
Avocado oxidizes—extra lemon and airtight storage help.

Q: Is it good for weight loss?
Yes—filling, nutrient-dense, and lighter than mayo-based dressings.

Q: Can I freeze it?
Not recommended; texture changes after thawing.
