Dairy: Contains feta and tzatziki.
Gluten: Pita, pita chips, and regular crackers contain wheat/gluten.
Sesame: Hummus commonly contains tahini, which is made from sesame seeds.
Eggs: Some crackers, pita products, or dips may contain eggs.
Nut-Free Note
For a nut-free board, use products specifically labeled nut-free when serving someone with a serious nut allergy. Keep nuts completely separate from the preparation area if other foods containing nuts are being served.
Gluten-Free Option

Pita
Crackers
Pita chips
with certified gluten-free alternatives.
The feta, vegetables, olives, hummus, and tzatziki can naturally be gluten-free, but always check labels.

Grilled chicken
Grilled shrimp
Hard-boiled eggs
Roasted chickpeas

Grilled halloumi
Recipe Q&A
Q: Can I prepare the Greek feta board ahead of time?
Yes. Wash and cut the vegetables and prepare the dips up to 1 day ahead. Store everything separately in the refrigerator and assemble shortly before serving.
Q: Can I use crumbled feta instead of a block?
Yes. A block of feta looks more attractive on a grazing board, but crumbled feta works perfectly.
Q: Can I use flavored feta?
Yes. Herb, garlic, or chili feta can add extra flavor.
Q: How long can the board sit out?
Because it contains dairy and other perishable foods, don’t leave it at room temperature for more than about 2 hours. In very warm conditions, limit this further.
Q: Can I make this board vegetarian?
Yes. The basic recipe is completely vegetarian.
Q: Is this board vegan?
Not as written because it contains feta and tzatziki. Use vegan feta and dairy-free tzatziki to make it vegan.
Q: What can I use instead of feta?
Try goat cheese, marinated tofu, vegan feta, or a firm Mediterranean-style cheese.
Q: What fruits work well on a Greek board?
Fresh grapes, figs, melon, strawberries, or orange slices pair beautifully with salty feta.
Q: Can I add nuts?
Yes, if allergies aren’t a concern. Toasted almonds, pistachios, walnuts, or pine nuts pair nicely with the Mediterranean flavors.
Q: What is the best drink to serve with it?
Sparkling water with lemon, mint lemonade, iced tea, or a Mediterranean-style nonalcoholic citrus drink all work well.
Q: How do I keep the pita from becoming soggy?
Keep pita, crackers, and chips in separate sections away from wet vegetables and dips until serving.
