Garlic–Turmeric–Ginger–Guava Leaf Tea

Ingredients (2 cups)

  • 2 cups water

  • 3–4 fresh guava leaves (washed well)

  • 1 small garlic clove (lightly crushed)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (sliced or grated)

  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder or ½ inch fresh turmeric (sliced)

  • 1–2 thin slices onion

  • 1 small cinnamon stick (or ¼ teaspoon powder)

  • Optional: squeeze of lemon 🍋

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey (after cooling slightly)


👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Boil water in a small pot.

  2. Add guava leaves, ginger, garlic, onion, turmeric, and cinnamon.

  3. Reduce heat and simmer 10–15 minutes.

  4. Turn off heat, cover, and let steep 5 more minutes.

  5. Strain into a cup.

  6. Add lemon or honey if desired (only when warm, not boiling).
